0 wordsHow to use the Wordle solver
Each tile in Wordle gives you one of three signals. A green tile means the letter is correct and in the right position. A yellow tile means the letter is in the word but in a different position. A gray tile means that letter is not in the word (except when a duplicate letter is still possible).
Enter the green letters in the five boxes above. Add letters that came back yellow, and add letters that came back gray. The solver filters the five-letter TWL06 list and shows the possible words.
For the best results, use the possible words as guesses that eliminate letters, not as guaranteed answers. Wordle's official answer list is separate from TWL06.
Frequently asked questions
Does this use the official Wordle answer list?
No. It uses the TWL06 Scrabble five-letter word list. That makes it useful for finding candidate words, but it is not an official Wordle answer list.
How do I enter a green letter?
Put it in the numbered box for its position. For example, if the third letter is A, put A in box 3.
What if a letter is yellow and gray?
Wordle can show the same letter as yellow in one position and gray in another when there are duplicates. Enter it as yellow; the tool treats it as present.
Is the Wordle solver free?
Yes. It runs in your browser and does not require an account.
