How to use this Scrabble word finder

When you get stuck, the useful question is not just “What words can these letters make?” It is “Which available word gives me the best option?”

  1. Enter your rack. Type each letter you hold. Use ? for a blank tile.
  2. Filter if needed. Use Starts with, Must contain, or Ends with to narrow the word list. These filters describe the word, not the board position.
  3. Compare scores. Results can be sorted by base letter score, word length, or alphabetically.
  4. Copy a word. Select the copy icon to copy a result for quick reference.
Score note: displayed points are the sum of rack letter values only. Board premiums, cross-words, and placement strategy can change the actual move score.

Letter values & blank tiles

In English Scrabble, rare letters can be valuable, but a high-value letter is not automatically the best move. Fit and board position still matter.

Q · Z10 points
J · X8 points
K5 points
F · H · V · W · Y4 points
B · C · M · P3 points
D · G2 points
A · E · I · L · N · O · R · S · T · U1 point
Blank (?)0 points

Why blanks are powerful

A blank tile can represent any letter, but it scores zero. The finder accounts for that when estimating the score from your rack, rather than treating every letter in the resulting word as a scored tile.

Frequently asked questions

Does the highest-scoring word always make the best move?

No. This tool estimates base points from the letters used. The board layout, premium squares, existing words, and the opponent's possible replies can make a lower base-score word the stronger move.

How do blank tiles work in the results?

Enter one question mark for each blank. The finder can use those blanks to complete a word and counts each blank as zero points in the rack score.

Why can a word appear here but not be accepted in my game?

Word lists differ by game edition, region, and dictionary. This site uses the dictionary file configured for the current build; check your game's official word authority if a disputed word matters.

Can I use the filters without entering rack letters?

Yes. You can search the loaded dictionary by prefix, required letter sequence, or suffix alone. Add rack letters to limit results to words you can form from your tiles.
